Every moment you will encounter different scenic views of nature. Sometimes gigantic hillswith numerous dotted villages with sun setting in the background, with frothing white falls and streams while somewhere you will get the enchanting views of the snow-capped mountain ranges of the Kanchenjunga massif which would inspire you to get into the depths of nature. .

Singalila Pass and Phoktey Dara, the two spurs, offer majestic views of gigantic massif of Kanchenjunga range in a famous “Sleeping Buddha” formation. Sunrise and sunset panorama are surreal and profound. The Singalila range demarcates the western borders of Sikkim and Darjeeling with Nepal. During this trek you will witness the mountains, passes and range of both India and Nepal. On a clear sky day, 4 out of the 5 highest peaks in the world, Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse andMakalu are distinctly visible. Your camps will be set in a strategic position so that you can admire the views of these majestic mountains. Daywise Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at NJP / IXB / Siliguri and drive to Uttarey Valley

Meet & Greet” with our company representative on arrival at NJP / IXB / Siliguri and drive to Uttarey Valley ( 160 km., 6-7 hrs., ), Phoktey Dara trek starting point. En route enjoy the beauty of evergreen forests, the beauty of Teesta river, rural villages of Sikkim, lush green hills & mountain cloud view. In this 7 hr. Journey you can take your lunch at Jorthang, 2nd important city of Sikkim. If you have to buy something for trek or need to withdrawl of money then it is the last market. On the way you will pass through some famous tourist places like Rinchenpong, Kaluk, Hee, Dentam, Singshore bridge. You can take a tea break at any of these place. After arrival at Uttarey check-in & get fresh. After that you can spend your leisure time at local area by walk. Overnight Stay at Uttarey in a hotel / home stay

Day 2

Rhododendron

The walk to Chitre is through a dense forest of Rhododendron, Oaks, and a great variety of trees. Distinctly visible are the Orchids growing on many trees. At the end of the trek we reach a big clearing where the Indian soldiers SSB Unit camps. We camp just above it for the night. Overnight at Camp.

Day 3

Chiwabhanjhang

We walk straight up on a steep ascent to Chiwabhanjhang, where another unit of the army camps. From Chiwabhanjhang we turn left and proceed on the Singalila Ridge to Kalijhar, just below Phoktey Dara. Today is a short walk, but after lunch we go up on a little excursion to the highpoint at Phoktey Dara. On a clear day you can see the whole Khangchendzonga and Everest Ranges from here. It is one of the most beautiful sights in these parts. Overnight at Camp.

Day 4

Early morning we go to see beautiful sunrise and after breakfast we go to singalila, Chewabhangzang range hike about 3hour.

Day 5

Phoktey Dara

We can try an early morning walk up to Phoktey Dara to catch another glimpse of the peaks and descend for breakfast. After breakfast we trek to Achalay through dense Jungles again. At Achalay there is a small peak which serves as a great vantage point for viewing the big peaks. Sometimes this campsite has scarcity of water in which case we move further 45 mins to a camp at Joributey. Overnight at Camp.

Day 6

Rhododendrons

Today, the stretch is dotted with a lot of white Rhododendrons and the trail leads to beautiful clearings in the forest now and then from where we get an awesome panoramic view of the mountains all around. Deoningali Dhap is one of the most beautiful campsites on this route and is famous for a special species of Bamboo called “Deoningali” which is used by the locals to weave stuff for domestic use. It is believed to be the natural habitat of the Wild Boar. Overnight at Camp

Day 7

Rhododendrons

This is a lovely walk through dense forests with the huge tree trunks covered with heavy Moss and Orchids hanging from everywhere. The trail sometimes opens up to sprawling vistas of rhododendron dotted Valleys beneath. Overnight at Camp.

Day 8

Hilley

The last day of the trek is short and is pretty famous as a day hike for people visiting Hilley. There are lodges at both Hilley and Barshey that make it a popular option for trekkers who don’t prefer camping. Drive to Okhray, a town famous for its vegetables nurseries. We spend the evening loafing around the small village and have dinner at the in Homseasty with burn fire in cosy corner. Overnight at Homestay.

Day 9

Drive back to NJP/ Bagdogra.

Interested can go to Gangtok or Namchi for sightseeing.
